Michael G. Holler graduated from Lindenwood University
in St. Charles, Missouri with a Master of Arts Degree in
Professional Psychology in 1990. During his tenure at Lindenwood,
Michael received a Second Place Award from the Missouri
Psychological Association, in their statewide research competition,
for his research in Communication. Michael graduated as
a member of the Alpha Sigma Tau Society, a scholastic honors
award offered by Lindenwood as a result of scholastic excellence.
Michael is a National Certified Counselor, a national board
certification provided by the National Board for Certified
Counselors (NBCC). Michael is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor
(LMHC) in the State of Florida, as well as being a Licensed
Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Missouri.
Michael is also a Certified Family and County Mediator in
the State of Florida. Michael has worked in Inpatient (Hospital
Psychiatric Unit) settings, and Outpatient (Community Mental
Health Center and Private Practice) settings, as well as
Educational settings. Michael has had extensive experience
working with Children & Adolescents, Individual Psychotherapy,
Family Therapy, Couples/Marital Therapy and Parent Education.
Michael has also taught Psychology at the college level.
Michael has also had 50 hours training in Hypnosis, and
30 hours training in Child Custody Evaluation, as well as
one year of training in Gestalt Group Therapy. Michael originally
hails from St. Louis, Missouri, where he worked at St. Joseph
Health Center as a therapist on all three Inpatient Psychiatric
units, with most of his time spent on the Adolescent Psychiatric
unit. He also had a private practice at the Center for Growth
& Change.
Most recently Michael worked for the Guidance Clinic of
the Upper Keys in the child unit providing Intensive Onsite
Services (ITOSS) from 1994 until 2004. Michael has been
in private practice in Key Largo since 1997. In 1997 Michael
served as President of the Interagency Council.
Michael has been a Certified Family & County Mediator for
two years. Michael has training and experience in testifying
in court.
Michael enjoys Scuba Diving, having achieved the status
of Master Instructor with the Professional Association of
Dive Instructors, (PADI) and having published an article
in PADI's Undersea Journal on "The Psychological Aspects
of Managing a Dive Rescue Scenario." Michael also enjoys
boating and playing music.
